Statement Of Faith

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

The Bible is the true, infallible Word of God.

We believe in the One and only Triune God, embodied in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God is good.  God loves His creation so much that He conceived a perfect Son on Earth and destined Him to death so that, in spite of our sin, we might enjoy eternal life with them in heaven.

We believe in the Virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We believe Jesus will return to Earth and win a final battle against evil, after which all believers will spend eternity together with Him in heaven.

We believe in the Holy Spirit and the full embodiment of Him in us as we believe and walk in faith.

We believe in a real and literal hell and an eternal separation from God, as well as the damnation of non-believing souls to hell.

We believe God is in ultimate control, and works through His believers as we pray, fast, and honor Him with our greatest efforts.

We believe in baptism with water as a symbol of one’s faith in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe baptism is a command given by Jesus to all believers, as a witness of their faith.

We believe God gives all believers spiritual gifts to be used to glorify His name, His sacrifice, and His coming reign.

We love the Church and Body of Christ.  We believe the greatest glory is given to God when believers of all denominations peacefully unite for His purpose.

We believe that Christians are called to be witnesses of Christ’s unfailing love.  This responsibility embodies loving, serving, teaching, and using unique personal and spiritual gifts to spread the Gospel around the world.

We believe that Christians are called not to sit idle in comfort, but instead to continually love, pray, fast, give of ourselves unselfishly, demonstrate mercy, humility and sacrifice our resources so that others might come to know the God of all comfort.

We believe Christians are called to bring honor to the Lord in all we say and do.

The Biblical Mandate that fuels The Trash Mountain Project can be understood by reading the following Scriptures:

Matthew 25:31-46

Matthew 28:18-20

John 14
