Trash Mountain Project recently returned after leading a mission team to Santiago, Dominican Republic to serve the children and families of Trash Mountain in July, 2010! We partnered with Topeka Bible Church on our first team journey to the DR. Our team worked in partnership with the "Kids with a Hope" ministry that serves the needs of children that live in the dump community surrounding the Santiago garbage dump. TMP, in partnership with TBC, completed our first home building project for a local family in need, handed out over 250 Spanish Bibles to children in the community, successfully assessed the ministry needs and began a long-term mission project to build out the Kids with a Hope facilities including a nursery, library, cafeteria, showers, and greater classroom space. This will be an incredible opportunity to share the love of Christ with the children of Trash Mountain Santiago. The completion of this four-phase project will enable Kids With a Hope to serve twice as many children as they are presently capable of serving!
If you are interested in going with TMP on a future journey to the Dominican Republic, please contact Brett Durbin. Currently, trips are being planned for late 2010 & 2011, and will be on our website soon!

Trash Mountain Project recently returned from our second trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras in the summer of 2010! We successfully lead teams from Ridgepoint Church and Journey Church to Trash Mountain Honduras to build three homes for families in and around the dump just outside of the capital city of Tegucigalpa. In addition to the home-building project, our medical team served nearly 900 people, handed out over 100 Spanish Bibles, conducted lice treatments for all AFE students, planted a garden/orchard, built a drainage system for the local church, handed out countless hygiene kits to the community, delivered women's hygiene/gift bags to the mothers in the community, conducted sports camps and much more! Thank you for your prayers and support throughout this mission.
If you are interested in going with TMP to Honduras on a future trip, please contact Brett Durbin for further details.

Trash Mountain Project has discovered our third location to serve God's children living in a trash dump community on the fringe of Santiago, Dominican Republic. Brett Durbin and a small leadership team returned on March 22nd after scouting this new location. The goal of this trip was to discover the vision for how Trash Mountain Project can best serve the wonderful people of Santiago. The team quickly discovered why God had lead them to this new location. TMP is excited to announce that we will be serving this community as our third global location! We have since returned to Trash Mountain Santiago two more times, and have established our plan for the coming years with this mission. Please pray for this journey, and continue to look out for updates as we will be taking teams to the DR throughout the coming months and years!
