Jon’s Bio
Jon and Elaine, who recently got married, both have a heart for the broken world around them. Coming out of college, both felt God calling them to pursue the missional calling on their life. Graduating from Southeastern University Jon finished with a double major, with a BA in Religious Studies and a BA in Communications. He has served on the mission field in Cambodia, Haiti, Honduras, and Mexico, performing a variety of tasks including leading teams, teaching English, nutritional programs, and non- profit film production.
Jon strongly supports the holistic approach to ministry. “The Gospel is a lifestyle, not a sermon.” We have to begin living out this command from Christ, if that means around the world or in our back yard, we must do our part. We are called to help those around us, and in the case of extreme poverty that means to house, feed, and teach them while presenting the hope of Christ throughout the whole process.
“I feel so blessed to be married to my best friend and love of my life, Elaine. Without her partnership in this process none of this is possible. Her gentle spirit amazes me and devoted life to Christ I admire. Though the journey may have just begun, we look forward to the life ahead God has destined us to!”
