Trash Mountain Project has been nominated for the Epoch Missions Gala and are one of only 18 finalists chosen from 438 nominations, representing 5 continents, 35 countries and 38 states. We have also been chosen as one of the 3 finalists in the category of Creativity, as a mind imagining new ways to serve. We are excited and honored to be recognized. Thank you to those of you who nominated us! On October 24 we will head to the gala to represent TMP! Head to the HERE for more details and other finalists!
Date: July 26-August 2, 2011 KWAH Camp
This will be a first of its kind for a TMP team. A team from Kansas assisted by a team from Lakeland Christian School will be facilitating a camp for the children at Kids With a Hope. This will be a VBS style camp that will involve lots of interaction and fun! Pray that they will be able to share the love of Christ through skits, games, messages, and song!
Date: July 16-23, 2011 Home Building Trip
One this trip, a team from Ridgepoint Church in Lakeland Florida will be assisting and helping build 2 homes. Please pray for safety and health for this team as they are doing lots of physical labor.
Date: June 26-July 1, 2011
This summer we are pleased to once again partner with Camp Gilead and bring a missions focus to some of their campers. We have had a great time in the past and look forward to it again this summer.
Date: June 18-24, 2011 Optometry Trip
Trash Mountain Project and a team from Kansas will be traveling down to the Dominican Republic to host an optometry clinic at Kids with a Hope and the surrounding community. This will also include the opportunity for many of this kids and even their parents to receive a pair of glasses for the first time ever in their life.
Date: May 23-30 Dominican Republic Sports Camp
Trash Mountain Project in partnership with Idol’s Aside Ministries will be heading down tot he DR with a team from Kansas to put on a sports camp along with other tasks. We will build dugouts and prep work for the Tech School will begin. The boys from Kids with a Hope will go to the baseball camp while the girls will do a volleyball camp among other things. Please pray for us during this journey.
Date: April 18-19, 2011
Trash Mountain Project will be traveling to Birmingham, Alabama to visit Samford University and give a presentation. Brett’s message entitled “Social Earth” will connect how the environment is a factor in each of our lives and and how it is effecting lives around the world.
