Brett DurbinExecutive Director

Meet Brett Durbin, Founder and Executive Director of Trash Mountain Project. While serving as a college pastor in Lakeland, Florida, Brett and his wife, Jaelle, visited a trash dump community in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Simply searching for a worthy cause to bring home to their church, they had no idea how strongly God would move them or that it would lead to their founding Trash Mountain Project. Brett holds a Masters in Criminal Justice from Washburn University and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is a gifted storyteller with a deep passion to share the vision and ongoing story that God has been writing through this ministry. 11 years after he and his wife founded the organization, his passion for the TMP mission of serving the least, the lost and the forgotten families living in trash dump communities has only gotten stronger.
