As Livelihood Director, Chris leads the strategic planning, development and implementation of all facets—locally and internationally—of the TMP Aquaponics Program. Chris has worked professionally as a biologist for 37 years and holds a B.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife Biology and an M.S. in Environmental Studies. His work experience includes natural resource management positions with private companies, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations. In 2010, Chris heard a presentation about TMP’s early work in Cambodia and Honduras. Challenged by the needs of the “least of these brothers”, he contacted Brett asking how he and his wife, Carol, could help. His education and experience with fisheries and biological resource management made aquaponics a natural fit, and he started full time in 2013, since which he has implemented aquaponics projects in Kansas, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and the Philippines.
