Jon DeMeo, Director

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jon moved to Lakeland, Florida, to study at Southeastern University where he obtained his Bachelor's in Communication and a Bachelor's in Religion. Three weeks after marrying his high school sweetheart, Elaine, who also graduated from Southeastern University, Jon began working as the Missions Director at Trash Mountain Project and is now serving as the Director of Operations. Jon worked with the founder, Brett Durbin, while in Lakeland, Florida, and when Trash Mountain moved their headquarters to Topeka, Kansas, Jon and Elaine made the move eight months later. Elaine also began working with TMP part time and transitioned into full time quickly thereafter. She is now a stay-at-home mom since the birth of their first son, Jameson, in November 2013.

Jon and Elaine have a heart for both local and global missions and have served in both capacities through multiple different organizations and avenues of ministry. After having an opportunity to potentially live full time in Honduras after college with another great mission organization, both felt that TMP was the place God was calling them. They feel so blessed and humbled to serve alongside so many Godly leaders both here in the States and around the world.

The DeMeos love spending time outdoors and hanging out at the pool. They also enjoy going to the Farmer’s Market, NOTO District, Biking to Tad’s Shaved Ice, or just taking an evening stroll around the block. They now reside in Topeka and attend Fellowship Bible Church.
