Shelley’s love of Spanish combined with her passions for Latin America and missions have fueled the course of her life and led her to her current position of Country Director for Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Although she only had 18 hours of notice before her first TMP trip in 2010, God was preparing her long before that as she completed a degree in public relations, served as a missionary in Mexico for three years, and taught high school Spanish for seven years, often taking mission trips during school breaks. She now uses her cultural knowledge, communication skills and ministry experience to serve as the cultural liaison for TMP’s partner ministries, overseeing the work done in those communities, promoting good communication and understanding, interpreting and organizing/leading teams to serve in those countries.
