Landfills are the beacon we look for.
We often get asked why we choose to serve in trash dump communities. The reason is simple: we believe that God has given Trash Mountain Project a clear vision, and these landfills are places where we feel called to make a difference. We see these communities as forgotten—often considered the poorest of the poor in their countries. They are in desperate need of restoration and the message of the gospel.
While we acknowledge the environmental challenges, our primary focus is on addressing the human need.
Every Person Matters.
At Trash Mountain Project, we believe that every individual, no matter their circumstances, is valued and loved by God. Our mission is to reach out to those living in trash dump communities, bringing hope, dignity, and the message that they are not forgotten. Every person deserves the opportunity to experience restoration and a brighter future.
Our process.
At Trash Mountain Project, we bridge the gap between forgotten communities and vital resources through Christ-centered support. Living dependently on trash dumps, individuals often face dire situations beyond their control.
We recognize that each trash dump community has unique needs, and we tailor our efforts to provide essential resources like nutrition, healthcare, education, housing and spiritual guidance, fostering a transition from despair to hope. We work hand-in-hand with experienced international community leaders who intimately understand these needs.
By amplifying the voices and stories of those we serve, we engage compassionate donors directly in God’s restorative work, ensuring that every contribution makes a tangible impact.
